(get ready to be mind-blown)

his here (left) , is how I always react when looking at jaw-dropping, mind-blowing, and stupendous creations. And behind these impressive works of art are stellar artists who worked so hard to get to where they are now (read: success).

In alphabetical order, I present to you, the top Blender artists - who have personally inspired me on my journey, and I hope they will on yours too.

And prepare for some scrolling awesomeness. ;) *heavy breathing*

Andrew Price, Australia

Picture
The CEO and owner of Blender Guru, a site dedicated to providing high quality tutorials, and the founder of The Architecture Academy.

My best mentor, and probably yours too.

Definitely one of the youngest entrepreneurs I've ever worked with who has the best decision-making skills and a clever judgement for beauty, detail, and art.

Picture

Andy Goralcyzk, Germany

Picture
The guy who started it all for me.

It was his 2004 render titled Snog that kickstarted my passion to learn Blender, and looking back at it now, it still is as impressive as it has been.

Since the first open movie Elephant's Dream until the latest ones, Andy has been on board as Art Director, Lighting, and Compositing Artist. No wonder these films look so good. ;)

Ben Simonds, United Kingdom

Picture
Ben has been around for quite a long time now and he never ceases to amaze me until now.

He is the co-founder and one of the Directors of Gecko Animation, a London-based studio.

Also the author of Blender Master Class, one of the best Blender books I've ever read and had the pleasure of reviewing.

Derek Goff, Nebraska

Picture
Have I not had the pleasure and opportunity of working with Derek on a short film project a few years ago, I wouldn't have known how awesome he is! ;)

I am always perplexed and amused by his attention to detail and his natural love for nature, which makes me appreciate his works even more.

Check out more awesomeness on his site.

Enrico Cerica, Belgium

Picture
An award-winning artist and one of the living legends in the Blender and CG community.

Majority of his works are masterpieces that evokes so much emotion and beauty you wouldn't want to pass a day without having to look at them.

His use of Blender and Octane is stupendous!

Gleb Alexandrov, Belarus

Picture
My first online encounter with Gleb was through Blender Guru's competition (alias: Spelle) and I keep seeing his jaw-dropping pieces pop-up, and no surprise, one of the top contenders, if not the winner.

What's so great about him is he doesn't only create mesmerizing artworks but he also shares his techniques and tips with the community.

P.S. Can't wait to see his drum game completed! :)

Greg Zaal, South Africa

Picture
Greg has been around inspiring folks like us for as long as I can remember. His artistic skills complements his coding and problem-solving skills, which makes him one of the greatest Blender personalities I've had the pleasure of knowing.

If you haven't seen it yet, his site overflows with information you would feel a degree of overwhelming high after you've been through them. ;)

Picture
Picture

Hjalti Hjálmarsson, Iceland

Picture
One of the most skilled animators I've ever known, together with the master next on this list. ;)

There are no exact words to describe Hjalti's works and it would probably do injustice to select an inappropriate adjective for his works.

You be the judge, check them out below.

Jonathan Williamson, USA

Picture
One of the most-renowned and well-respected artist/coder in the Blender community; also one of my all-time favorite in the realm of Organic and Hard Surface Modeling.

The co-founder of Blender Cookie - a learning hub dedicated to Blender, one of the co-founders of the Blender Market, one of the leaders of the Blender UI redesign team, and a Blender Foundation Certified Trainer (BFCT). Whew! ;)

And for the record, one of the best tutors I've ever listened to.

Picture

Lee Salvemini, Australia

Picture
The lead character animator of Sintel, one of Blender Foundation's short films (my favorite yet). I'm a sucker for Lee's style of animation and his emphasis on movements that are acrobatic and action-packed. I could go all day watching his clips and just gaze in awe. ;)

In addition to this, he's such a great teacher too! Check out his videos at CGMasters to see what I mean.

Max Puliero, Japan

Picture
His unwavering focus on character and sci-fi is stunning! Simply one of the best artists in this field.

A Senior Character Artist in FromSoftware and Art Director of OYK games.

As far as attention to detail is concerned, he definitely nails it.

Picture

Nita Ravalji, India

Picture
The last on this major list and the only female artist that I've had the pleasure of including - but definitely not the least.

Nita's artworks are probably the cutest that I've seen in the Blender community and they tell stories beyond the uber cuteness.

She's definitely worth following. A true inspiration to all of us.

Honorable Mention

(extraordinary Blender artists worth checking out)
Alin Bolcas
Lucas Falcao
Sebastian Zapata

I hope you were inspired by these exemplary artists. Thanks for your time!
