2015 has been a spectacular year for Blender. We've witnessed the release of jaw-dropping short films like Cosmos Laundromat, Caminandes 3 (trailer), and Glass Half, to name a few.
To follow-up last year's roundup and to commemorate 2015, I present to you the artists (in alphabetical order) I've had my eyes on—who have leveraged the quality of Blender artworks and inspired the community once again. |
Gleb Alexandrov, BelarusIf you don't know Gleb, you've probably lived in a cave for these past few years.
He has produced a handful of high quality artworks that never disappointed the majority of us. In addition to that, his frequent tutorial publishing has helped the community grow by leaps and bounds. |
GUILHERME HENRIQUE, BRAZILGuilherme is one of those silent artists who catches us by surprise with his stunning pieces.
I witnessed his impressive creativity skills when he joined the Blender Guru team and since then, I've always been dosed with inspiration. |
Kjartan tysdal, norwayOne of the artists who worked on Tears of Steel, Kjartan creates pieces that I still don't have the right words to describe with.
His works are a sweet blend of realism and cartoon which emanates so much life and color. |
Maciek Ptaszynski, PolandI discovered Maciek a year ago when browsing for inspiration on Behance. And since then, I had my eyes locked on his profile.
He creates highly-detailed and hyper-realistic scenes that are feature-worthy. Also check out his sweet vehicle renders that will surely make you drool. |
Manuel Peter, GermanyA prolific artist which has been renowned internationally through his stellar artworks, one of which was "On The Tramp" which received an Animago award and was on the Editor's Pick at Artstation for quite some time.
|
Mason Menzies, CanadaDon't let his age deceive you. This 15-year-old artist is tenacious as he can be.
I saw his appearance in one of Blender Guru's posts and since then, he has been constantly producing mind-blowing artworks and has been commissioned to do freelance work, as young as he is. A true inspiration. |
Paulina Kochanowicz, PolandPaulina has a natural inclination towards architectural visualization with a twist of playful shapes and colors. Her works could easily be mistaken for a photograph even to the trained eye.
|
Pratik Solanki, IndiaAlso popularly known as Dragoneex and the co-founder of the Indian studio Weybec, Pratik has pushed Blender's limits in what seemed like impossible pieces to create--large forest scenes, dense feathered creatures, you name it.
|
Rico Cilliers, South AfricaI've had my eye on Rico for quite some time now and saw how he progressed over the years. His character renders are one of the best that I've seen in the community and have been featured several times.
I can't wait to see what he can produce in the coming months. |
Sebastian Zapata, ColombiaSebastian is a multi-disciplinary artist who creates photorealistic scenes and product renders. With Blender as his primary tool in his arsenal, he has gathered quite a huge and reputable client base through his freelance work.
|
Sergio Raposo Fernandez, SpainAlso known as Madrid82 in the Blender Community, Sergio creates a harmonious blend between architecture and cartoon--not an easy one to make--which is then coupled with his fantastic choice of lighting and color, creating a superb piece of art.
|
Zacharias Reinhardt, GermanyOne of the creators of AgenZasBrothers, Zach has been using Blender for as long as I can remember and has produced a stellar amount of training content and renders. His sculpting and storytelling skills are very impressive, not to mention inspiring.
